Frontline Public Safety Solutions

The Sylvania Township Police Department has partnered with Frontline Public Safety Solutions to provide an online portal for the community to submit information to the department.  Frontline Public Safety Solutions offers state-of-the-art cloud-based platforms that were created by Police Officers who saw the need for government agencies to update and facilitate the way they communicate and track pertinent information within their organizations.  We currently have two portals by which community members can submit information: the Vacation House Check portal and the At Risk Resident Registry portal.  To access the portals, visit https://www.frontlinepss.com/sylvaniatownshipohcpc.

At Risk Resident Registry

The At Risk Resident Registry is an initiative of the Sylvania Township Police Department, based upon models from other police departments in the United States of America.  Its purpose is to compile and maintain a list of individuals who have “special needs” or may otherwise be at a higher safety risk due to mental or neurological disabilities, and who may reside or frequently visit Sylvania Township.  Community members are invited to proactively provide information about their loved one with special needs of any age, who may require special assistance in an emergency or interaction with Sylvania Township Police Officers.  The registration is completely voluntary and free of charge.  To register, please visit https://www.frontlinepss.com/sylvaniatownshipohcpc and click on the “Submit Now” button in the At Risk Residents section.  Alternatively, you can email questions@sylvaniatownshippolice.com or call our Records Office at 419-885-3721.

Who is eligible?

The registry has been developed with the intent to serve all members (adult or juvenile) of our community or people who frequent our community who have a “special need” and want to register with the Sylvania Township Police Department.

Who has access to my loved one’s profile?

Sylvania Township Police personnel who require this information in the performance of their duties will have access to the information.  Frontline Public Safety Solutions does not disseminate information they collect to third parties.  For more information on Frontline’s privacy policy, visit https://www.frontlinepss.com/privacy-policy.

How will this registry help if my child/dependent adult goes missing?

If the individual goes missing and is reported by the parent/guardian, information about his/her physical appearance, the most likely places where he/she would go to, as well as triggers, stimulants, and de-escalation techniques will be available to every police officer in the area looking for the missing person.  If the individual has not been reported missing but is encountered by an officer and is incapable of effectively communicating with the officer, a computer check of the neighborhood, coupled with the physical appearance and/or photo of the individual, may allow us to identify him/her more quickly.  This will allow us to use the contact information to connect with the parents/guardians.

Can I update a profile if there are changes?  How do I do that?

You may update the profile; however, only information that has a significant impact on policing response will be necessary.  Some examples would include a change in address, school, or emergency contact.  An updated photograph may be helpful if a significant time period has elapsed since the previously submitted photograph.  To update a profile or information previously submitted, please email questions@sylvaniatownshippolice.com or call our Records Office at 419-885-3721.
